NOTICE

1. The Government have promulgated an ordinance to protect the owners and occupiers from enforcement action in respect of unauthorized developments in Chennai Metropolitan Planning Area for a period of one year.
2. The ordinance requires that status quo shall be maintained in respect of the following categories of unauthorized development:
   1. land use not conforming to the existing Master Plan, detailed development plan or any planning permission;
   2. construction in deviation from or beyond planning permission or building permit; and
   3. development without any planning permission or building permit;
3. Any person who has committed any act which would come under the category of unauthorized/deviated development is advised to inform the authority concerned, as detailed below, on or before 31-08-2007 failing which action will be taken if any deviation from or violation of Development Control Rules, regulations or bye-laws is noticed at a later date:
